I was recently lucky enough to get ahold of a review copy of a new and extremely creative book, The 1000 Journals Project. Written by Someguy (WHO?!), the book, published by quality design-driven Chronicle Books, is the result of 1000 blank journals that were basically left behind - many blank canvases - just waiting to be filled.
The typeface many of us love to hate is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. If you haven't been under a rock, you know that the documentary, Helvetica, is making the rounds on the film festival circuit this year. A feature-length independent film on a typeface? - Are you kidding me?!
I owe the blog readers of GDF a big apology. I have not made an entry for quite a long time now, and I apologize. I know that you have come to love and read what is posted and you patiently wait for the next installment - well, maybe not. The truth is, I've been pretty busy lately with work and business-related activities and haven't much felt like writing. But now I do.
