Free Fonts That Don't Suck: Part 2
In response to my earlier posts regarding design-worthy free fonts, a reader pointed me to the Phil's Fonts site, where District Thin, the thinnest weight from GarageFonts' District family, created by Kienan and Dylan Smith, is currently available for free download in PostScript, TrueType and OpenType formats.

How to explain the continuing popularity of typefaces based on manual typewriters? But popular they remain, so why not add a decent free one to your collection? This version is courtesy of one of my favorite type shops, P22, and was designed by the firm's co-founder, Richard Kegler, who for some reason based it on a German typographic conference document from the 60s. You can snag it here.

Know of more free fonts that don't suck? Let me know and I'll check 'em out for the next installment.
